A forgettable 60’s concrete office block made famous by its incorporation of the remaining iconic tower of the former Park Church transformed into a luxury 50 apartment and penthouse development. In one of our generally regarded more ambitious projects, we took on an unloved office block at the entrance to Park Circus and with some careful structural surgery and a full honed limestone facelift we were able to reintroduce Park House as a worthy contemporary neighbour and gateway development to Park Circus. Its landmark status as an integral part of the Park’s famous skyline of towers, with its vantage point on Woodlands Hill, boasts unrivalled views over the city and beyond. Park House provides new opportunities to live in the historic Park Circus area of Glasgow by creating a contemporary apartment building incorporating the landmark tower of the former Park Church. Apartments provide open plan living with large glass areas, sliding walls and a timeless palette of natural materials. Our architects cleverly transformed an ordinary office block into a bold contemporary building, skillfully incorporating the Church tower into the overall design. A classically modern design, the site has grown out of exceptional planning and sensitivity to its surroundings. Crisp detailing and large glass areas contrast and enhance the interface of old and new. One of our most prestigious city developments to date. |
